Normally 1700 is shot live in studio here in Melbourne, Australia. With all the Covid restrictions, they’re doing things iso style – at home!
I got an amazing chance to chat with these beautiful people about the CGSP song competition, which was amazing!
I was SUPER nervous, but they were great, it was easy and hopefully looked okay 😀
I loved chatting about my book, myself and my song competition!

What is going on with the world right now? We are loosing control, and loosing freedom in some cases.
So, how does that look as a writer during these Covid lockdowns?
Well, I will be going over what it’s like as a writer during coronavirus isolation, and share some ways YOU can keep sane during these challenging times.

I’m a writer, but first and foremost, I am a Creative! I write books, poetry, music, and paint. Because I LOVE celebrating other creatives, I wanted to pay it forward and include you AMAZING Indi artists in my book!
Things are looking a little challenging in the world right now, but that’s not a cue to sit at home with a tub of ice cream and cookies (I went through that phase too, no judging!) This is the PERFECT time to get some exposure online and grow those important connections for when we can get out in the world again.
Check out the video below to hear about it:

Possible blog post about how everybody’s you’re actually starts on a different day because it starts on their birthday
I had an epiphany!
It’s my Birthday today (Happy Birthday to me), and being the over-thinker and decision analyser I am, I had a thought.
We start the year on January 1st right? WRONG! We start the year on our Birthdays. The world calendar may begin on January 1st, but MY official 2020 starts TODAY!
So, as I begin the year 2020, I am looking to a better year than 2019. With less coronavirus cases, less lockdowns and more positivity.
Let’s keep moving forward, and in MY 2020, my book will be published.
This year is an ‘iso birthday’ for sure, but it’s actually been the BEST one I’ve had so far in 5 years. All the love, all the surprises, and all the joy that should come when you mark the start of a new year.
I’ll be posting a vlog on my YOUTUBE CHANNEL in the next few days of my birthday adventures – iso style.
What was the best Birthday you’ve ever had? COMMENT below and share your birthday joy with me 😀
Life right now is unlike anything I had ever thought would happen.
I’m only 26, so I wasn’t around for some of the other disasters over the years – like WW2 or the Spanish Flu epidemic. Imagine my surprise, when something like Covid-19 happened during my lifetime.
Jobs are different; spending time together is different; eating at restaurants and cafes is different, and shopping is DIFFERENT!
Panic buying is probably the most unusual part of this experience for me. The idea of freaking out that we’ll all run out of toilet paper is absolutely absurd! It’s made IN AUSTRALIA (for those of us who are here anyway). Supplies aren’t going to vanish – unless we DO panic.
Yes, it’s been isolating. Yes, jobs have either been dissolved or changed.
No, we can’t just go out and window shop anymore. No, we can’t go out to a concert, the opera, a movie or other event.
BUT – it won’t last forever.
I think so many have a negative view of this situation because they’re stuck in the idea that it will just go on forever. It won’t.
Life will slowly get back to normal, but SOME THINGS will have changed.
The way we socialise and shop will probably change – social distancing was ALWAYS a good idea in my book.
Take away might be a bit more common – also not a bad thing.
Connecting with family and friends may become more frequent – as we realise that our time together could be limited.
Let’s make the best out of what comes from this pandemic. Let’s continue to grow, continue to encourage each other, and continue to look forward!
How are you dealing with the ‘new normal’ right now? Have you taken to it like a fish to water, or are you struggling?
Did you miss the Facebook Live that happened on the CGSP FB site last week?
Most people did, but that could be because it was in the middle of a work day. What with me working from home right now, I didn’t take that into account. BUT, fear not, because aside from moving the day to a Saturday for the next one (which will include a ‘Dramatic Reading’ of the Hannah Carmichael Chronicles COLD STEEL (ONE) chapter), I’m also including the video here for you to Re-watch!
