My first TV Interview With 1700

My first author interview… sort of. It was great!!

Normally 1700 is shot live in studio here in Melbourne, Australia. With all the Covid restrictions, they’re doing things iso style – at home!

I got an amazing chance to chat with these beautiful people about the CGSP song competition, which was amazing!
I was SUPER nervous, but they were great, it was easy and hopefully looked okay 😀

I loved chatting about my book, myself and my song competition!

Keep checking back for MORE Kidnapped Entanglement news and exciting stuff as it gets closer to publishing! And you can sign up for my newsletter, which lets you know as well.

Walking On Water.. Towards Coffee (Book Review)

Did you miss the latest CGSP Facebook/Instagram Live session of coffee?
This time, I did a review of book 2 in a three book series by Ted Dekker.

Water Walker

A 13-year-old orphan has no memory beyond 6 months ago. When she is taken by a man who claims her mother (whom she thought was dead) is alive and wants to see her.

Water Walker (The Outlaw Chronicles, #2) by Ted Dekker

Wow.
Ted writes so well. I connected so easily to the story and the characters.
This book was pretty intense, but it was so intriguing!
I enjoyed it, and hated it, and wanted to throw it against the wall, and show it to everyone I’ve ever known.
I loved it

Animal Cruelty (Furious Fiction)

FURIOUS FICTION

A hijacking plan? Check out this Furious Fiction from May 2019 – Enjoy!

ANIMAL CRUELTY

“Highjacking a plane? Isn’t that a little extreme?” Samantha asked, crossing her arms.
Andrew rolled his eyes, “We need to get the attention of the Mayor, and all those other government stooges.” He stepped away from the airport blueprints and picked up his lunch. The mayonnaise was dripping down his hand, but he ignored it as he checked their camera set up. This hadn’t been Sam’s idea. She had wanted a more subtle approach, but Andrew always went for the big ideas.

“Maybe we should just rob a bank,” She said. Andrew spun, scowling at her.
“What kind of message would that send? We’re not fighting the economic crisis, we’re standing against the animal cruelty of this state. That plane is carrying animals across the state border for testing.” Andrew turned and shoved the last of his sandwich in his mouth, bending to fix a light.
“But blowing up a plane would mean mayhem. Not to mention all those innocent animals on board.”
Andrew groaned, then looked back at her, his eyes softer this time, “Sam, this will send a message and save the future animals, which are destined to be tortured and killed anyway. It’s for the greater good.” He nodded and sat on the chair which was facing the camera. Samantha sighed and moved into her position as camera operator, pushing the record button.

Andrew sat straighter and cleated his throat, “To my dismay, the mayor has done nothing about the cruel treatment of animals in this state. Despite our protests and warnings, he has still not stepped in-”
A loud explosion shook the ground and Samantha ducked down, looking up for falling debris. Distant sirens started getting closer and Andrew ran to the window, his eyes growing wide. As Samantha peered out, she saw a large cloud of smoke above a blazing fire, in the building down the street.

“Is that the cosmetic lab?” She asked, her ears still blocked from the noise. Andrew scrunched his nose and frowned.
“Someone beat us, they took out the laboratory,” He said, his voice still muffled. He started pacing and Sam exhaled, relief setting in.
“It’s a Sunday, so nobody would have been in there,”She said, sitting on the couch in the corner, smiling.
Andrew rolled his eyes and clicked off the camera. “Yup. Guess we don’t need this anymore,” He spun and walked away, leaving his plans where they were, as the sounds of sirens grew closer.

Sirens (Furious Fiction)

FURIOUS FICTION

Accidents, Firemen and Life or Death – June 2019 Furious Fiction – Enjoy!

SIRENS

Sirens grew louder as fire fighters arrived on the accident scene.
I watched through foggy eyes, as the bright red fire engine pulled up next to my car.
The pain was rippling through my legs, chest and head, as I tried to shift underneath the mangled car parts that were shoved up against my body.
My lips were dry and cracked as I attempted to yell out for help. No noise escaped and I tried a soft word, then a whisper; anything.
The smoke was starting to thicken and I squinted, trying to find a face in the smog.
A man with a short, black beard, about thirty, poked his head through the cloud and looked up and down the state of my body.
“Hi, my name is Steven, what’s yours?”

I tried to utter words, but breathing was difficult enough. “Samantha,” I finally managed to whisper.
Steven nodded and looked back at the mangled mess in front of me, turning to yell something behind him as horns honked with traffic now at a screeching halt. I tried to look behind me at the van, which had slammed into my car, and the car in front of me.
“Hey now, stay steady,” Steven said, guiding my head gently back into place. I glanced down at my legs, now hidden by the crushing metal. Steven put a neck brace on me and smiled, “You’re looking a little red in the jowls, Samantha.”
I frowned and he chuckled.
“I have word of the day toilet paper,” he said, pointing to my face. “Your cheeks are looking red.”

I took in a sharp breath as the buzzing of tools shook my car. Steven disappeared and I felt my breathing getting shallow, as my eyes frantically scanned the seat next to me. My son’s Iron Man lunchbox sat on the floor where he had left it this morning.
Steven returned and smiled, “We’ve almost separated the two cars Samantha, just hold on.” He looked across me, the quickly checked the back seat as he saw the lunchbox.
“He’s at school. My son forgot his lunch,” I said quietly. Steven frowned then nodded, disappearing into the haze once again. I felt myself fading, until a sharp grip on my arm pulled me back into reality. Steven was yelling at me, but I couldn’t hear him anymore.

The world was slowly slipping away when light flooded the car. The contorted metal was being pulled away from my legs, and I took in a deep breath of air, as the pressure on my chest was released. The pain was unbearable and I yelled out, as other fire fighters surrounded my now exposed driver’s seat. They slid me onto a thin board and I held my breath as they lifted me into the air, and onto a stretcher.
The world was starting to fade again as I saw Steven’s face, as he spoke in a distant voice next to me.
“You’re going to be ok Samantha.”
