There is something incredibly satisfying in writing a whole book in 2 weeks…. but there were also some very large challenges that came with it as well. The biggest frustration I have, is that I wasn’t able to give the story, characters and the project the finer tuning that I could have if the project wasn’t so rushed. Am I proud of what I achieved? Absolutely. But there is still something about taking your time and working a little longer on something to make it the best version that it can be.

So, for the second story in the Hartwell Grove romance series, I am writing it in 2 months, not 2 weeks. This is going to give me more space, more time to make things better, and also to proof read the final draft before I hit that publish button.

There is so much to love about this second book. The banter, chemistry and excitement has been dialled all the way up, and these characters truly had a mind of their own. I never intended to continue the first book Hard Hats & Mixed Signals into a series, until I met these characters in the pages.

It’s always a lovely surprise when characters take on a life of their own, and these ones practically demanded their own story. If you’ve read Hard Hats, you might already have an idea who I’m talking about, but don’t worry if you have no clue. I am going to be releasing the second book soon, as I’ve already been around a month in for writing and outlining. We are close to something fun, exciting and full of tension with one of my favourite themes:
