There are books that you read, and possibly even like, but when it’s been a little while afterwards, you can’t remember a single thing about the book. Just me? I hope not – because there are some books that I have in my collection that were apparently just utterly forgettable. So, here they are.

The Next Worst Thing by Sara Jane Woodley

Characters were good.
Wedding stuff was fun and interesting. Rivalry / enemies to lovers was great.
Ending was rushed which meant less satisfying but all characters ended up pretty good.
Main characters were really good and I enjoyed their banter and progressions.

The Enemy by Sarah Adams

So much fun.
Love and hate really are a thin line and I LOVED the way things play out with Junebug and Mr Darcy… 😀
Actually though, they were so cute and the way everything was developed was hilarious and heart warming.

Formula of Deception by Carrie Stuart Parks
3.75 stars
Unreliable narrator, mystery dating back to WWII and a whole lot of confusion in between.
There are a few plots to grab hold of in this one but the characters was where this really shone for me. I’m normally a plot reader, but honestly I could have done a whole book just with Murphy and Birdie.
Plot wise, for me it was a bit whiplash feeling at times, and other times the pace was good. There were a lot of threads and limited connections until the end where everything slammed into each other in a soup of mental gymnastics (odd enough wording for you? Welcome to how I felt about reading this portion of the book).
It was enjoyable and quite well written, the characters were great and the mystery was enough to keep me engaged.

Fatal Trust by Todd M. Johnson
3 stars
Good with interesting twists and mystery, but very slow moving.
I get bored with a slow moving story and for that it dropped a bit for me, however the story itself had lots of interesting turns and it was a satisfying plot progression and ending.
Characters were good, but nothing particularly unique.

Dangerous Legacy by Elizabeth Camden
3 stars
Pretty good story. I liked the romance in this book, the banter they had was quite fun.
Satisfying resolution and I really liked the combination of historical fiction, mystery and romance.
Well, I still don’t remember much about these books but apparently I liked them. Enjoy reading your own “forgettable” books!
